BA Gatwick Airport Parking 2021

Hi, I have seen a great deal on Gatwick parking for April 2021 - Ł74 for valet parking.

However, it isn't clear on the website if this is refundable - it just states that it is a flexible booking? I'm assuming this means that I could move it to a later date if necessary.

However, if BA were to change to Heathrow airport as has been hinted, does anyone know if I'd be refunded from Gatwick?

We've used the official LGW valet parking about 6 times in the last few years and had booked and paid for a 4 week stay this April. Because of Covid they actually set up a special link on their web site to cancel. Which I did and the money was back on my CC inside 3 days. One of the good guys in all this.

However I can't say what they would do in a "normal" life. Flexible sounds like you can change but don't the FAQs explain more?

I’m purely going form memory but I thought the official Gatwick parking for was cancelllable. at any time.
I had a booking for July which I have cancelled. I’m sure I remember going to and fro whether to book a good deal at the time as although I could cancel for free any later changes to dates etc would mean cancelling and rebooking at whatever the rate was at that time.
I have never booked more expensive flexible rates on anything prior to this pandemic as I am too tight 😀

From the t&c’s so long as you cancel as they set out you should be ok;

5 Cancelling or changing bookings for car parking, valet parking and lounges

5.1 If you want to cancel your booking or any part of it, you can do this on the website, 24 hours before your expected entry time into the car park or lounge. Please click on the ‘Manage my booking’ section. You can also phone us on 0844 811 8311 to cancel a booking. or email parking.services@gatwickairport.com.

5.2 We will only consider giving you a refund you if we receive notice of your cancellation at least 24 hours before the lounge or car park entry start date and time of your original booking. If you do not give at least 24 hours’ notice, we will not give you a refund.

5.3 If you want to make any changes to your booking, you can do this on the website, no less than four hours before your expected entry time into the car park or lounge. Please click on the ‘Manage my booking’ section. You can also phone us on 0844 811 8311 to change a booking, or email parking.services@gatwickairport.com.

5.4 If you amend your booking at any time, we will change the cost of your booking to that day’s rate (that is, the rate on the day you alter the booking) and we will not charge you for making the change.

5.5 We do not give refunds after the car park entry start date of your booking (as set out on your voucher) if you have not followed the procedures above when cancelling or changing a booking.

5.6 We will not make any refunds other than those set out in these terms.

5.7 We will not give you a refund if you don’t use your booking for any reason or if you do not cancel it in line with the procedures set out above.

5.8 We will not give refunds for any days you book but do not use, unless you have followed the changes to booking procedures set out above.

5.9 If you are due a refund, we will only pay it if you can give us a pre-paid booking reference number. You can find this number on your booking confirmation email or online under ‘Manage my booking’. We will make the refund to the card you originally used to make the payment.

5.10 Your legal rights are not affected.

5.11 If we cancel your booking for a reason that is within our control (see section 6), we will refund the amount you paid when you booked. We will do this on the card you used to make the original payment.
