Buying a charge pod for your phone in the parks

Has anyone bought one of those charge pod things you can buy in the parks. The self service kiosks are dotted around Magic Kingdom etc, and they are $30 each.

You only pay once and then put the empty one back into a machine and a new fully charged one pops out.

But I want to know are they any good? It's only me, but I use my phone A LOT for photos and apps in queues and my worst nightmare is having a flat phone battery

Thanks x

I've never used them but Victoria from DisneyInDetail uses them on her vlogs and seems to like them.

Can you not just buy a portable charger? Seems like it'd be a cheaper option...

My teenage DS got one and used it constantly. He never complained about it so it must have been ok 😂
Also we all used it and just kept swapping so we considered it will worth the money.

We got one and used it a lot too. Unfortunately it went missing on the journey home so we haven’t got it anymore 😞

we looked into this and decided to go for an anker one, it charges my phone really quickly and has the capacity to charge it several times. I don't think that the ones you get in the parks will give a whole charge

I got one of these in May and it was great. You just put it in the machine and a new one pops out! You can also recharge it yourself so they can be used at home too. I believe they have a machine at MCO and they are cheaper to buy there but I got mine at POFQ for $30. It's also very small and not heavy so it's easy to just pop in your bag/pocket.

I got a full charge for both my ipod and iPhone before I had to switch for a new one and they charge up pretty quickly. In short I would highly recommend!

I have a few (!) portable chargers including an Anker 10,000 mAh one I bought recently.

However I'm actually considering buying one of these FuelRods on my upcoming trip... It will be lighter to carry around, I won't have to worry about recharging it every night, and I won't have to worry that my portable battery pack will run out during the day (which has happened to me with smaller 6000 mAh packs).

My friend has one and it seems to work well enough - they may not give much of a charge given their size, but it's so easy to swap them out in the parks for a fresh one...

I have an Anker portable charger that I use for family holidays. It's 20000 mAh which means it will give a full charge to 3-4 phones and even charge two at the same time. Amazon have it as a deal fairly regularly and you can pick one up for less than £30 at the moment. I think that's a better deal personally.
