Thanks for reading. I quite like writing the food reports and using them to help me decide where to eat next time.

6 days to go for you! Have a great trip.

Fab and trip report thanks. I know what you mean about the timing for club room. I don’t think it worked for us last year as we had a full week at HRH trying to chill and so we were around the hotel a lot and got full use. Will miss universal this year!

Thanks for reading. Don’t get me wrong we still really enjoyed club level it just took a wee while to adjust to a different way of doing the parks.
A week at HRH would have been lovely.
1 day to go for you! Enjoy your trip.

The Rosen Plaza was great. The rooms have been refurbed since we last stayed and were very nice. Great Location for eating out. We would happily stay here again.

Top 3 - Eating Out

Ds
1. Joe's crab shack
2. Bahama Breeze
3. Maggianos

DH
1. Bahama Breeze
2. Yard House
3. Joe's Crab Shack

Me
1. Bahama Breeze
2. Maggianos
3. Joe's Crab Shack

We didn't really have any food lows, yes some places that were better than others but nowhere we thought was mediocre or that we wouldn't go back. Ds didn't like the yard house as a place, it did have rather a grown up feel but the food was good.

onsite at Universal

RPR was really good, we had stayed here 5 years ago and I wasn't overly keen. However, we loved our stay here this time.

Club Level, it took us a couple of days to find the best way for us and what we were doing.
Breakfast was great every morning, we were not for being up early by the time we reached RPR so it did eat into our park time but we had 7 days so not a big deal.
Afternoon offerings - we nipped in once and got a couple of bowls of goldfish crackers and trail mix.
Royal Relaxation - The food on offer was nice and could be used as a meal if that suited you, I found with later park opening if we ate there I was hungry again after park close and ds was mainly too tired to want to eat again. It worked for us as a snack top up, ds tended to have a small plate while dh and I had cheese and crackers with a couple of glasses of wine or beers.
Sweet Treats - We nipped in a couple of times on the way to the parks to grab a cookie.
Staff - all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble if you asked them for anything.

Top 3 Eats

DS
1. Cowfish
2. Vivo
3. Lombards

DH
1. Cowfish
2. Lombards
3. Vivo

Me
1. Vivo
2. Cowfish
3. Bula Bar

Again no lows in terms of food, loads of places I wanted to try or go back to but didn't make it, I'll add them to next time...

Refillable Mugs

Special mention to these as they saved us a fortune at Seaworld and Universal. We only bought 1 and shared, it worked for us and less to carry around. Loved the icee option at both parks.

snacks

We didn't snack as much as you do on disney trips and at universal our food top up levels were pretty low due to club level.

Top snacks were, m&m's mint and strawberry nut, junior mints (newly discovered for me), butter beer, icees, Funnel Fries at Seaworld and Dippin dots for ds.

Future Plans

Trip 1: Well the day before we went on this trip DS and I booked 9 nights away in April with one of my friends who is also a teacher. Dh can't get April off.

I think we got a pretty good deal at roughly Ł1k each and only my friend has to buy tickets as Ds and I now have our annual passes.

We are staying 2 nights at the Rosen Plaza, which gives df and I a full days shopping much to the disgust of ds. 3 nights at RPR which gives 4 days express pass as I'm assuming April will be rammed. 4 nights at the new Aventura.

Trip 2: We have 15 nights booked at POFQ next July with DDP, no flights booked yet so thinking of adding a few nights at Universal to start with. We love HRH but at current prices its Ł500 more than RPR (non club level) for 4 nights, so we will see.

Anybody else reluctant to talk about their Florida trips to normal people Generally I get 3 responses, 1 a judgement about how we can afford it, 2 a comment of how there are other places in the world and 3 how can you bear all that theme park nonsense
So I'm thankful for all you guys on the dibb where I can share my obsession without judgement.

Thanks again for reading along and commenting and I'll be back with another live report in April.
Ha ha the normal people’s reaction .. my mum does all 3... we got home Wednesday she popped over and first thing out of her mouth was you’re not going back again next year are you .. you should go somewhere different why do you want to go to a fun fair for 3 weeks...

Apologies. While looking for something for our upcoming Universal trip I realised all the links on the first page were totally wrong. All fixed now though
