Following with interest as we have a redundant double garage and would love to make it in to a place for the kids as they get older.

It worked very well and looked great ( i have the pics, but when i asked the client if i could use them on my FB page, they said no )

it had a outside door into a bit of a porch with a Fridge / freezer and small kitchen, then into the toilet, then a double door into the cinema
OMG it is not so grand as that, it does have a wine fridge though. We went to the Ideal Home show to get ideas for the chairs. We have got reclining, warming, massaging things. But it only has a few seats, it is not enormous. I can't sleep so I might get up and post the next stages shortly.

The interior starting to come together. Plastering, new window and door and floor down.

Looking good, plaster work is of a nice standard and drying nicely. Plenty of power installed as well I see, so important.

Only one thing would drive nails into me sorry. The 1" reveal to the right hand side of the window in picture 2. I would have preferred to have lost 1" off the entire room than had that small reveal left.
Not an issue though and only a tradesman would moan about it.

If you need any tips/advice from a techy perspective, just holler! This our living room right now

Have you worked out where all the cabling is going and being hidden? Are you going 1080p or full on 4k? What sources are you using? What about speaker setup?

I assume you are fitting blackout blinds too?

This is a complete project, just didn't want to post the whole thing at once as too long. I will post more later on when I am on my laptop, don't have any photos on my phone.

So the cinema room has no natural light source. The door and window that I have shown is in the space we sectioned off for a home office. You go through the office to get to the cinema, shut door and it is pitch black.

The cabling was run up and across through the loft space. DH was in charge of the technical spec, I am more planning and decor.
