If they're running with reduced staffing, there will inevitably be delays as every application has to be eyeball-checked at various stages. Good luck with getting the passport.

DS renewed his passport on line at 2.30pm on 12th May. Sent off the old one that evening to Peterborough office, and got an email on 13th to say it had arrived. New passport arrived at lunchtime today - 15th. Very impressed!

we sent my other Half passport of a few weeks ago ( London office ) we received a text quite quickly to say they had received the application so I'm assuming we should receive his renewed passport soon

We’re in the same boat I sent renewals for both me and my son on 29/03 I had received my new passport 10 days later. However still waiting on sons being processed.
Ours went to Peterborough. We’re due to go in Oct so plenty of time and don’t think there will be int travel but would like to have it done |

My granddaughters is a renewal too... I have heard from them, and sent off her birth certificate this morning. So we are getting there. 🙂

My daughter applied for her renewal on Thursday 14th May, sent old passport to Glasgow on 15th, had email and text to say received and was being printed yesterday, 20th, just received another email and text today to say new passport has been posted.
