And here I was wondering if 9 nights next May will be enough What a fantastic report! I too loved seligman, it was actually my favorite part of my GC tour, lol. Gosh, you did loads, talk about less is more. I came on here to look for May trip reports as usually I go in July/August, but it's a bit too hot for youngest DS, plus May is cheaper, lol. You should work for LV tourism as I think I'm gonna go for it,lol

Can I ask where those colourful rocks were? Thanks

It was just fab, we loved it so much that we’re going back in April/May but we’ve 3 nights in SF first before we head to LV for 6 nights which I’m so excited about!
Definitely doing the GC again with the son as can’t bring him all that way without seeing it, & we’re doing Death Valley, a full day trip. Maybe another Disneyland trip too! But I need to sort all that out yet!
The rocks are an art display called seven magic mountains & they’re located about 15 miles from LV strip on the road out to LA. They went up in 2016 & they were supposed to be a temporary thing, but it’s got extended untill the new yr. not sure what date & they will maybe keep it as a permanent thing. It looks brilliant stuck out in the desert as your driving by, we took a lyft there & back as we didn’t have a car, the driver waited for us infact he got out of the car to take pics himself, as he said he always passes it whilst driving but never thought to stop so he was pleased he got to take us out there!
If you are gonna go, Go early in the morning as I hear it gets crowded in the afternoon so you’ll get nicer pics with no one in them!
PS what date do you go in May? We’re there until 7th!

Thanks for that I'm looking at going between 25 to 27th May for 9 nights. That's the May half term week and as youngest has SATS next year, I better not do April as the time difference will be too great and we do suffer jet lag lol-especially me
