I Tunes MPEG-4 Audio File (Protected) (.m4b)

I need a progame that will turn MPEG-4 Audio File (Protected) (.m4b) in to mp3 . These are Audio books that I brought trid though i tunes but dont work for some reason .

I'm always wary downloading software to run conversions.

Have you tried changing the extension to m4a instead of m4b? I had the opposite issue some years back when I was trying to add audiobook files from elsewhere into itunes and i think this was how I resolved it (only in reverse)

Thank you but I can not change the extension I tryed .

This is what I do. I play the file using iTunes on the computer and use Audacity (free) to record the audio directly and save it as a new mp3 file.
