How much time do fast passes save you?
Looking at current wait times, If the wait time is 90 minutes (Aug) how much time does a FP (Dis) or express pass (UC) save you?
My experience last time was about 2/3rds is this still the case? |

It reduces it by quite alot in my experience.
Normally around 3/4 or at least half. |

Depends how many are in the fast pass queue - sometimes it can be a walk on sometimes you wait a little longer but considerably less than standby

Depends on the ride - you save loads of time on the bigger rides like Splash or SDMT and less of some of the lesser rides.

For FOP + 7DMT you can save anything between 60-180mins in peak traffic.
It will differ for the time of year you go. We found last Sept that most rides were a walk on (due to the Hurricane) but it was nice just to have spots reserved via FP to keep things moving along at a nice pace |

As others have said, will depend on the day and ride.
As an example, last July, the Space Mountain stand-by queue was at 60 mins, and we walked on via FP in 5. But a few days later, we'd FP'ed Soarin', and for some reason it took us about 20-30 mins to get on, even via FP (can't remember what stand-by was - at least 45 mins, I think). |

In general, if the wait time is 90 minutes then a fastpass or express pass will probably save you a good 80 minutes. You'll probably be on the ride in 10 minutes or less, assuming there isn't some technical issue. Sometimes you can almost walk on - that is, no wait at all.
As a percentage, you'll save more the longer the standby wait time is. For example, if the standby wait time is 15 mins you'll may queue in the fastpass line for 1/2 that time, whereas if the standby wait time is 120 mins you might be in the fastpass line for only an 1/8th of that the time.
