We also flew BA to Japan a couple of years ago and all good.
Hi Dee THanks for the positive comments re the 380 We have seats booked on the upper deck as that is where the sets of two are. Did you sit up or downstairs?

We were up, at the back right side. The over head lockers seemed smaller than usual but there was a great 'bin' at the side for bags which was very useful.

Are you flying back from Singapore? It was a bit weird as we bought bottled water from a coffee stand (think it was Starbucks in fact) but they wouldn't let us take it on to the plane even tho' we thought it was bought after security, so we had to drink it down then take the empty bottles thru and use their water dispenser to fill them up . DH drinks LOADS of water so we always buy plenty to take with us as he never seems to get enough while on board but this rather confused as when we flew to Cambodia from Singapore so when we then flew home from there we knew the drill!

Thanks again Dee

We have booked the seats directly behind the first row of world traveller seats upstairs
(i.e not the extra leg room seats but next row.) I had a look at the rear WT cabin which has less seats in but thought there might be a lot of noise from the galley behind? Did you find this?

Yes we are flying back from Singapore! Good to know not to get water although I too like to have bottled water to had on the plane.

Thanks again for the info !

There was a little bit of noise, but it didn't really bother us.
Enjoy!
