We always fly virgin long haul but might go with BA as I can buy an extra bag for 32. This has completly thrown me, i don't know what to do.

Yep you can do the same with Virgin. Check their website for baggage allowances and additional baggage. It is cheaper if you book in advance too.

Thanks for that, I've just checked and you can which makes me feel better but really worried about my dress as it's huge. BA's hand luggage is bigger, and as i really wanna take it on board with me that might be the decider. I'll have to buy a wedding box and see if it fits, if not i'll be standing on the tarmac watching my dress go in the hold!

Your dress is amazing, what a beautiful photo. My train is not that long but my dress is tulle so it's really big as it has so many layers, suppose i'll just have to wait and see

Hi Diane

I wouldn't worry about your dress not fitting in a travel box.

Tulle will squash down easily into the box.

Amy's (DD's) dress was huge and fitted in no problem and she took it on as hand luggage with Virgin.

Photo's of Amy's dress

Hi Kim,

Amy looked stunning and her dress was fabulous, so princessy. It's very similar to mine so that gives me hope.
Thanks for posting those photos.
