Pandora - Passholder Preview
So as resident annual passholders we were invited a few ago to sign up to get an early preview of the new Avatar attraction. We got entry today at 5pm and rode on the Na'vi River Journey and the Avatar Flight of Passage. All I can say is that the FoP is a long walk, and even in the preview with restricted numbers was a little bit of a wait but boy is it worth it.

Wow ! Lucky !
How would you rate the intensity of Fop? I'm a coaster wimp , but I like simulators like soarin, star tours , Simpsons etc , how would you compare it to say one of those ? Is it a shut your eyes and all is good type thing ? Lol

It is pretty intense, certainly more than Soarin and probably a little more than the Simpsons but the 3D visuals are superb and there are other things which add to the experience that I won't spoil. My DW has said this ride alone would make her renew our AP's if that gives you any indication (she loves Soarin as well)

I would really like to try this ride but was really panicky on Star Tours and the old Back to the Future. I have been OK on Spider-Man and Harry Potter FJ. Do you think it's ok for people with slight claustrophobia.

The ride does move
The whole theatre moves up and down and the bikes moves from side to side. there is a video on youtube that someone filmed it from their backpack. Most people were shocked as to how much it moves. Kim |
