Harry potter studio tour
Going there tomorrow. I'm a massive harry potter fan so cant wait. Hubby the man who never wanted to go to florida who is now addicted has it in his head it wont compare to Harry potter at universal. We shall see! Can anyone tell me how expensive the shop is there? I'm expecting it to be quite bad!

No it won't compare, it's a totally different experience. It's not someone's idea of the theme, it's the real thing.

It's brilliant
I cried when I first saw the great hall and was sobbing at the model of Hogwarts at the end Kim |

Wands are around £30. You can get gowns and scarves and such which are bit pricey. Plenty of T shirts and at the expensive end they have reproduction props like goblets and broom sticks. I have a set of coins as used in the films. Galleon, sickle and knut and they were £35. The online shop will give you some ideas of stuff that they sell:
shop.wbstudiotour/prod...souvenirs.html Believe me when you see that Great Hall, the Hogwarts Express or the massive model of Hogwarts it will blow you away. It's film sets rather than park repros so its the original. Note that the buildings are J and K as in Rowling. You can spend as much time as you want in the place. Should it be your birthday or anniversary let a CM know - they will let you open the doors of the hall. Edited at 07:08 PM. |

Oooh - we've been twice now - love it - there's always something new we've missed before. Don't be shy to ask questions - the staff are all HP enthusiasts and have a wealth of insider knowledge! Hope you have an amazing time

Don't miss the cupboard under the stairs while you're waiting to go in.

It is SOOOOO good. Been 3 times now and I'd go again tomorrow if I could .
The new forbidden forest bit is great and there is so much to see ! Dd got to open the doors to the great hall on Easter Sunday I didn't try Butterbeer ice cream in Florida but had it at the studio tour and couldn't believe how good it was . I could eat some right now 🤤 It's totally different to universal/ IOA obviously but you just can't compare as they're both amazing in different ways . Have a great time ! |

It is simply magical. To know you are looking at the actual props, costumes, designs etc is amazing. We are going for our 5th visit in August and cannot wait. There's so much to see and take in, we are always in there for hours. Do talk to the staff; they are so knowledgeable and clearly love HP so you will always get a good conversation.
Definitely try the Butterbeer ice cream and take your time walking round. Me and DD had a go at the wand choreography last time, which was good fun. There's always a theme of some kind too so they have special exhibits, demonstrations etc. There is a smaller shop when you reach Platform 9 and 3/4 but the main one at the end is the best. Some stuff costs a bomb but they do have more reasonably priced stuff like keyrings, postcards, pens etc too. Have a fabulous time. |

My daughter is a big HP fan and we have been to the Universal/IOA attractions which she thought were great. We went to the Warner Bros Studios at Easter and she loved it better than Orlando because they are the real deal. The castle at the end is brilliant and you just don't want to go through the last door to the shop. You want your experience to keep on going. The shop seemed ok in price but didn't buy much because she is pretty much stocked up on wands, etc. I would certainly recommend it and would love to go back again. Hope you enjoy it.
