Thanks for the info, I suppose I just have to wait and see what happens.

I’ve actually booked a package with netflights (hotel and flights) usually DIY! Also I booked on credit card if that helps any, I’m not sure. I won’t be able to go any other time as work won’t be able to accommodate another 2 week holiday in the rota😞
Assuming you have the flex account travel insurance with nationwide? We have it and I was checking last night. We can get refunded from the people with booked with except the villa deposit so may end up claiming.

It covers travel expenses, activities and excursions.

If you can no longer stay at your pre-booked and prepaid accommodation because of:
- fire;
- storm;
- lightning;
- landslide;
- avalanche;
- explosion;
-hurricane;-
- earthquake;
– volcanic eruption;
– flood;
– tidal wave or tsunami;
– medical epidemic or pandemic;
– civil unrest;
– outbreak of food poisoning within your accommodation.

That's the earliest date that flights may restart again if it's still getting worst they will extend the travel ban.

We are also due to fly on the 27th April. Stuck in limbo, if we cancel now we lose thousands or we can reschedule and pay hundreds more and still no guarantee that all will be fine the time we reschedule to. Feel so sorry for everyone with plans these next few weeks / months

I think you may be slightly more at ease to know the Foreign Office have today advised against all flights to the whole of the USA effective from 17th March.

Update on GOV.UK.

USA travel advice

Change made
The FCO advise against all but essential travel to the USA, due to restrictions put in place by the US government with effect from 03:59 GMT 17 March in response to the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) (Summary and Entry Requirements)

Time updated
11:45am, 15 March 2020
