Question Bearadise Park - Bears

Does anyone have any experience of the Bearadise Park, Florida

It is about 110 miles south of Orlando, at a place called Myakka City.

From what I can see on their website, they have a dozen bears there, and can accommodate parties for education and viewing.

Seriously considering the trip, perhaps doing a visit to Legoland on the way back. The kids would love to see some Grizzly bears I am sure.

Interested to hear if anyone else knows of this place.

Thanks

Are you thinking of doing it all in one day, it is going to be a longish day.

Yes I will be setting out early am and driving straight there.

The lady who runs Bearadise contacted me to say they are closed for summer, but open sometime in October- just hoping that it is early in the month!

A wee bit wary as there have not been more responses.

Thanks

Never heard of it but you could tie it in with a tree climbing adventure that looks close by. Or even stay overnight on the coast, day at the beach then do the tree climb and bear park on the way back.

Plenty of good reviews on Trip Advisor, I hope to visit in December.

Monica the owner has told me that they are closed for Summer, but opening in October - still trying to get a date... we leave for Florida in 3 days!

You could stay a night in Myakka Lake State Park in one of the Log Cabins. It's very reasonable.

You could then go to Deep Hole the next morning to see all the crocs/gators!
