Upgrade Disney World tickets

I have WDW tickets that are valid until December 2021 and made a reservation to visit the parks at the end of July 2021. We now would like to upgrade our tickets from a 2 day to a 4 day ticket. I believe that should be possible with the my Disney experience app or in my account on the website But I can’t figure out how to. Can somebody explain how it needs to be done please?

As far as I can tell in my own account which has a US-style ticket for 2020 they have disabled the option to change the ticket yourself. You could try calling the US ticket line and see what they say. I'm not quite sure I understand which type of ticket you have, though. Are they flexible date tickets, or were they dated and then extended?
