Yes GG we actually did. The I-4 was terrible around Lakeland heading for AMI a few years ago that we did drive home via Zolfo Springs to get to the 27.

As you know we're a bit like you and love to explore the other 65,700 square miles of Florida beyond WDW and maybe use "Here" just once every holiday. Went to Mount Dora last year via the 27 and used "Here" for the last bit. We were told once to "enter the traffic circle" Not many of them in Florida.

We've done the scenic lake ride at Winter Park quite a few times and also visited Mt Dora town but last year was our first time on the Dora Canal & Lake boat ride (thanks to Dibbers )

We are the same, and like to explore around, and the first time approaching St Armands Circle, my Sat Nav announced "At the rotary, take the 3rd exit" and we just looked at each other and burst out laughing... but loved that saying ever since !
