We live in Blackpool in a semi rural area. Lytham is great and had a good social life but it is relatively expensive. People prefer different areas, for instance I don’t like the North Area much although I have lived there years ago. I would however ignore Central completely and also any of the holiday accommodation areas.

I live 4 miles outside Blackpool, so I would go for, Lytham St.Annes
Anchorsholme Thornton Cleveleys Poulton le Fylde South shore isn't Lytham St.Annes. South shore is where the Pleasure Beach is situated. People who live in Lytham don't like to be lumped with St.Annes ,as it is 2 different areas that are next to each other. Lytham being the more up market of the two. |

It does depend on whereabouts she will be working as Blackpool is spread along the coast, so North or South ease of transport would be worth considering. There is a map of local bus routes on line

Thank you everyone. She will be working for the Council so I assume they have a building somewhere. She will have a car as she needs it for her job. I’m excited for her and trying not to stress too much about her being so far away.

My husband’s sister and brother in law lived in Lytham and always told us it was a separate area from St Anne’s
They lived in a nice area of Lytham which I think wasn’t far from a windmill
