Resale DVC deposit

I'm planning to pay the deposit for a resale purchase for Saratoga Springs Resort - after looking on the forums it appears this can be done by using HiFX. Just checking I'm OK doing it this way as this will be our first purchase and a little nervous.

Sorry I can't advise on that Company. However I added on at SSR via Resale last year. I paid $1000 deposit on a non foriegn fee credit card and got a good rate and the rest via Travelex on an electronic transfer. No fees and I was amazed at the rate I got. Very pleased with them and I did like the fact they have an online video you can watch that shows you how to do the transaction. Plus they rang me 3 times. To confirm I had signed up, to confirm the funds were received and to confirm the transaction had been sent. All backed up by texts as well.

Edit. Oliver123 did a purchase last year. I know he was pleased with who he used.

HiFX are fine. We often used them to transfer $ to our Sun Trust account in Orlando. These days we use Fairpay because we sometimes get a better rate but you'll be fine with HiFX.

If you have a good foreign exchange credit card such as Halifax, use that for deposit. If not I'd use Hifx every time as their service was brilliant. Use Top Cash Back to get 25 when you open an account too.

We paid our deposit using our Revolut card as it gave us the best rate at the time. We then used HIFX to pay the remaining balance when it all went through.

I used HiFX to transfer my money years ago - however if I was to do it now I think I would use transferwise or Azimo - both give better rates.

Personally when transferring large amounts of cash abroad, I want to be as sure as possible that the money is safe. I trust Hifx it is a very big established player.
