I agree, Uber is easy and cost effective. We got picked up from our hotel at CBR and taken to the drop off point at Universal. We did the trip a couple of times and cost about $13 each way, this was in June this year.

Uber probably provides the most convenient, cost-effective method of getting from Disney to Universal.
The other options are: Mears taxi - costs around $35 with tip included. Just as convenient as Uber but more expensive. You can usually pick one up outside reception of your resort. Shuttle bus - Mears provides scheduled shuttle buses for around $18 (?) per person. You have to book these. Not quite as cheap as Uber and more hassle. Public buses - the standard Lynx buses are cheap at only $2 per person but there isn't a direct route from Disney to Universal. You'd have to change multiple times and it will take a long time to get to Universal.

We use Quicksilver Transportation and have booked them again for this year, check out their website for rates, they are obviously dearer than such as Uber but as far as i am concerned well worth the $s.
