Disney - ride malfunctions and fp?

Hi. Reading threads about recommended fp's at various parks got me thinking. If you book a FP, and then the ride is down during that hour, what happens.

Do they just cancel that out and you re-book your fp for that or another ride, or do they slot you in somewhere else in that day for that ride.

Disney's reliability is probably better, but when we have been to Chessington with our passes, we have often found that a big ride might be out of action for an hour, or all day.

They give you an open fastpass that can be used on a selected number of attractions or the original attraction when it reopens.

Good to know, completely oblivious to the fact that rides may break down

They just send you an email with your options.

This happened to us a couple of times last year when rides were closed due to lightening in the area closing rides.

yep happened to us on ts ride at hs, not problem spare tier 2 fp and everyone was happy

I spend a lot of time waiting for mamamouse and the girls to come off rides, and there are always cms wandering around - I talk to everyone about everything and we have on many occasions been given extra fast passes just for chatting away!

not a tip or a guarantee - just if you see a pale Glaswegian chasing a 3 yo demon and talking to people - say hello = cos that's me!

Thanks for all the replies, particulary canoefairy for the pic.

Lets hope I can get into my emails ok on hols - or better still nothing breaks down on us. When I went to Las Vegas I couldn't get into them at all, but I was using somebody else's computer as well as a hotel wifi. Hopefully using our own machines on Disney wifi we wont have any problems.

You don't need the email. It's all automated.

There is wifi in the parks so you should be able to use the MDE app.
