Hi all, we are 2 families 1 staying at Animal Kingdom and the other at World of Sports.. question, would the other family be able to use our pool at Animal Kingdom? Not every day obviously...

The answer is no they shouldn't.

Whether anyone checks this at the pool i am not sure. They do at the beach club.

You can legitimately pool hop at the all stars between all of the all stars, as they are sister resorts. You can't pool hop between "different" resorts.
That said the difficulty when you try to pool hop between different resorts comes in having somewhere to get ready without arousing suspicion, people go back to their rooms to get dressed as there's not really anywhere to get dressed. I would assume family 2, just gets ready in family 1's room, and nobody is any the wiser.

The beach club has such a good pool that people try it on there, so they police it. Whether or not they do this at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'm not sure, but family 1 could go to the pool on their own, and "case the joint". Then if there is no pool security, then family 2 just do as above. If there is security, you change plans without having to embarass yourselves.
Again, not supposed to, but you could have 1 member of each family swap magic bands, then family 2 can use the swapped band to drive in like they are staying there, go to family 1's room let themselves in, get changed, and then go to the pool.

We stayed at AK and they have changing rooms by the pool and no one checked whether we were guests or not.

I don't know the answer but it sounds like if you go over to All stars then you probably won't get checked if it's common to pool hop between those hotels?

Lol 😂 I thought that way around might be the case. I'm sure you will be fine, worst case scenario you get caught and you can just plead ignorance? It's not like your not all staying in a Disney property. I wouldn't advise it if some of you weren't onsite guests though. No one checked us around the pool at OKW.
