What do I get... onsite

If we were to stay onsite, what do we get included in the price?

I understand EMH & Magic Bands, is there anything else? Do I need to buy tickets?

Are you talking about Disney? If so yes you still need to buy tickets but can access FP at 60 days instead of 30 and you dont pay for parking if you are hiring a car otherwise you can use Disney Transport.

If getting tickets I'd wait until free ddp is released.

If you're talking about Disney, then you get the following if staying onsite:
  • Extra Magic Hours
  • MagicBands
  • Free parking at the Disney theme parks
  • Book fastpasses 60 days before check-in
  • Free Magical Express transportation from MCO
  • Earlier (180 + 10 days) ADR booking
  • Use of Disney transportation around the parks
  • Disney themed resorts and rooms
  • In the heart of the magic and close to the Disney parks

If you wait a week or two, you may also get free Disney Dining if staying in a deluxe or moderate resort.

And, yes, you also need to buy tickets in addition to the price of the hotel room. The same applies to staying onsite at a Universal hotel.

Thank you, yes it's WDW we'd be staying at, would they still do free dining for only a couple of nights?

I think it's usually a 5 night minimum stay for free dining, and your hotel and tickets have to be booked at the same time, through the same TA.

Oh well, never mind, the DDP isn't that important.
We would be booking everything separately as to get the best prices but booking the 2 nights through Disney themselves. Do we really need to purchase tickets from them? It didn't ask me about them when I was doing a dummy booking

No. If you're only staying for a couple of nights then you won't qualify for free dining. Therefore, if I was you, I'd just book the room and get the tickets from somewhere else.

I forgot to add that included in the price is a hotel room and all that comes with that - eg. use of bed, bathroom, coffee-making facilities, TV (etc) for the length of your stay. Whether the hotel room plus the 'extras' are worth it is up to you.
