Don't buy Liptons whatever you do. I've tasted better dishwater!

You can buy English teabags at various Publix and Walmart stores. The price is ok. If you want larger boxes at better prices, go to the International Food Club, near Universal.

The English brands are expensive to buy so I thought of buying an American brand.
Hi pdcdad - is there any reason why you don't want to take some with you from home? You can import into the US, we take decaff Yorkshire Tea and instant Carte Noire coffee. Our experience; the American excuse for tea is nasty!

Hi elevonic - once MCO definitively abolish Customs Declaration 6059b you won't need to complete as the IO asks. I 'check' yes to food but don't list, telling the IO what we have. The US Gov stated 6059b would be abolished by 2016 years end, but some US airports are still insisting on the form.

Over the years we have yet to find a decent American tea bag and now always take our own tea with us plus coffee. Never have any problem taking them in apart from on officer who told me some years back that it was possible to buy tea bags in America - felt it best not to answer but said that was good to know!

Hi Jaf... we get that too, IO's forever saying they have tea and coffee, as you say, best not to inflame the situation

We take over Tetley tea bags but tea still doesn't taste great, I think it's the water!

Couldn't agree more, that's what you get in French service stations too! Always take my own where ever we go

Thank you all for your replies
I was so confused about what "food items" you have to declare I thought if I could find a decent brand over there I would give it a go but now I will take my normal Yorkshire tea with me.
