I fancy doing a Muir Woods and Sausalito half day trip whilst staying in SF. Any one else done it? Is it worth doing?

charly77 did a trippy recently where they had a combined SF tour with Muir Woods and Sausalito included. Sounds brilliant. It was with Dylan's tours. Their tour covers all this as well as entry to Alcatraz.

We've booked Dylan's tour in may. It's a six hour trip taking in all of San Francisco with stops, an hour at muir wood and lunch in Sausalito

Yes defiantly. Muir Woods is beautiful and well worth a visit. We only got an hour & 1/2 there as part of a tour but I could have easily spent a 2 or 3 hours. We only drove through Sausalito but have said we would defiantly stop off next time we go to SF. Its a very lovely waterside little town/village.

We went there the year before last but just as part of the bus tours, we could have stayed as long as we wanted. One tip though, if you do it this way, do it first thing in the morning as you have to change buses in Sausalito and we had a little bit of a wait... stunning trees though and beautiful little town so hope you enjoy it.

We went to Muir woods as part of our Dylans tour, both were amazing and a must do as far as we are concerned, only downside was not enough time, but that always seems the case when you are only staying a few nights in one place

We visited with Dylan's Tours too and really enjoyed it. We only had a short time in SF so it was a perfect way to see both these fab places. I'd highly recommend them if you don't have much time available.
