For luggage we've left unattended in cars before we have used a couple of cable locks (like these getgeared/abus-lock... ng_feed_gg17) to lock all the cases together and to a tie down in the car. Obviously wouldn't deter a pro but might discourage any opportunists.
As well as the precautions already mentioned it's also worth not opening the boot when you park up (so you don't advertise) and where possible try and park somewhere (e.g reversed against a wall) where people won't be walking behind the car and looking in. We also always made sure that we kept all the key valuables with us in a ruck sack or bag e.g. passports, phones, tablets etc. |
