Where to shop?
It's been such a long time since we visted florida, the last time was 1999 so forgive me for not being up to speed, back then i think the big shopping place was BELZ factory outlets , this seems to have been rebuilt as one of the premium outlets now if thats right?
when we were there in 99, belz was like all of the factory / outlet stores and pointe orlando was slightly more upmarket (or so we thought haha) with shops like abercrombie, armani, ralph lauren etc but it seems pointe isnt the king of must do place it once was and now has far fewer shops? so where should we head for shopping? am i right in thinking there w=are 2 sets of premium outlets plus mall at millenia and the florida mall taking care of the mall side of things? we will probably do 1/2 days shopping and would like to go down the 192 too, just to see how things have changed since we were there last, i know there are lots of like strip malls dotted around but just looking for the best place to shop, would also like to try some independant businesses etc outside of the factory outlets if possible because working in the fashion industry like i do I know a lot about what is actually "on sale" and what is manufactured specifically to be sold at a lower priced just tagged with a higher rrp which is what a lot of the big names do. any help much appreciated. |
