CBR room request - or not
Online check-in requested 2nd floor (really don't remember if I said Aruba and Jamaica)
Touring plans room fax sent requested 2nd floor Aruba. At the desk I was allocated first floor Martinique! So I asked for 2nd floor in Aruba or Jamaica and got a great 2nd floor corner room in Jamaica. Definitely do your research and at the desk ask for that if you don't get your first choice immediately, but if I had got first floor Martinique I wouldn't really care we're in Disney

Glad you got what you wanted! They prob put you in Martinique as it's a mostly preferred area and then therefore technically regarded as an upgrade. Hope you have a great trip - we loved CBR last year - we stayed first floor, Martinique! 😂

All the rooms at CBR are the same size but a corner room gives you two windows so more light. Depending when you arrive, this might give you a really good view of the building works Seriously, corner rooms are nice but bear in mind people walk past your room, no inner corridors at CBR, so you might want to keep the curtains drawn.

In my mind no point in asking for specific room for the view in CBR or PO, we've stayed in both before.
Rooms look out onto the corridor walkway motel-style where people have to walk past to get to their rooms. So we usually have curtains closed for privacy. Even with curtains open, and even in the corner rooms the windows don't let much light in because of the overhang of either the roof or above corridor above shading you, and even then if upstairs your view will be of corridor and wooden fencing.

It's obviously down to personal choice. Although corner rooms aren't any bigger, in my opinion with two windows and more light they "feel" bigger and with 4 adults sharing a room for 5 nights, the bigger it "feels" the better! 😂😂😂
