Mobile Cabana Bay Construction

Hi all,

This is my first post so I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting so soon after joining.

Myself, wife and 2 kids are travelling to Orlando for 11 nights in July. I have booked the Cabana bay for the full duration but I'm getting a bit worried about the construction work. So I sent them an email asking them about it and if I should try and request a specific room to avoid noise. This is the response I got:

Hello,

We are currently expanding our hotel to better accommodate guests. Our neighbors, at Volcano Bay, are also building to expand a brand new Universal Orlando water park. There is construction going on in these places. I would recommend that you book a Courtyard family suite to be as far away as possible from the construction. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 407 503 4000.

Have a swell day!

I'm kinda wondering should I try a different hotel but we really like the look of the Cabana Bay. Any ideas or opinions? Or anyone know anything more about the possible disruptions? I had booked a tower family suite as I didn't like the exterior corridor in the courtyard. Am I being a bit OTT on this one?

I think it's due to
Be finished before you go? Volcano
Bay opens the end of May and I suspect the towers will be done for this too.

There was construction noise when we were there in August 2015

The noise started at 7am but was nothing major.

Great hotel though!

Thanks guys. 7am start isn't too bad our kids are early risers. I don't think we'll change hotel but I was maybe thinking about cancelling the tower room and booking the courtyard one.

I would honestly stay tower side. As I said I'm sure it's finished by then as you can certainly book one of the 2 bedrooms in the big towers from end May.

I thought I read towers open before volcano bay. Volcano bay opens end may. The only other construction work will be for Aventura hotel which looks to have begun now.

Thanks guys - Maybe I'll stay where I am so. Where is the Aventura hotel going?

We went in September. Was placed right next to it with a lovely view of the workers entrance! Needless to say, not impressed so they moved us to the other side of the resort which happen to be the family suites at no extra cost

A bit lazy on my part. A quick Google and I see Aventura is being built on the old Wet n Wild site.

Miss Shell - were you put in the Courtyard part? If so how did you find the exterior corridors?

Miss Shell are you a Jonah ? first this and then Coronado Springs , everywhere you go construction .

Please can you let us know where you plan to go in 2018 , so I can book somewhere else and avoid the construction
