The Acadia/Traverse/Enclave are sister Crossover SUVs and are a good bit smaller than the Tahoe/Yukon/Expedition old style SUVs

The Crossovers don't have steps to aid access which the Tahoe etc could not do without

But the Crossovers are more roomy and flexible inside - seats slide and stow-away like Minivans

The reason I ask this question is because Dollar are telling me that the chevrolet traverse is now classed as a full size SUV, I was hoping to get another Tahoe like the last time I went to Orlando.

The Traverse is a full size Crossover - FGAR - at a push !

A Full Size SUV is FFAR - Yukon, Tahoe, Expedition

Take a look at the sticky at the top from nordictat2girl

We have a a Tahoe at the moment and love it - even though it's the 2014 model - another lucky fibber got the 2015 model which is completely different not just a mid-life refresh

The reason Dollar are saying this, Is the Traverse is a 7 seater. Alamo are doing the same with the Enclave. The rule of thumb is Full size SUV's should have a V8 engine. Having said all this I love the Enclave/Traverse/Acadia and prefer them to many of the Big SUV's.

I loved the old Dodge Durango we must have rented more than 10 even better was the Aspen. I wish they still had them today. Even tried to buy one in the UK but the steering wheels on the wrong side.

If you really wanted it...you could buy it...regardless of which side the steering wheel is on
Plus, it would be good practice when renting/driving in the US.

You guys drive on the wrong side anyways lol.
