Budget at MCO a good experience

Hi,

Have not seen any posts for Budget. We had booked a Luxury through florida4less. We had not ecperienced Budget before and were slightly sceptical.

We got to the desk and when asked what car was available I said did not want a Crysler 300 then heard the reply that thats a premium not luxury (with Dollar and Alamo these were luxury 2 years ago). We opted for a Infinity which turned out to be small, we could barely 2 suitcases in. I returned to the desk and got seen by a supervisor, she me some options and I opted for a Lincoln MKT, the suprise here is that this was classified as a Luxury and I did not have to pay an upgrade fee, previously with other companies to upgrade to this type we had been charged a fee to upgrde to this type.

Not sure if I was just lucky but was certainly pleased !

The MKT is one of cars in their LUX fleet so it would of been wrong to charge you for a car in a class you paid for ;-)

We are using Budget for the 1st time this year as only place that had 8 seater SUV available for our dates. Good to know as not many posts on Budget at MCO.

Florida girl...same for us. We have used them in Europe (was ok expereince) but not in the US so hoping it will go smoothly. I have been trying to join their Fastbreak club but it seems like a lost battle because no one seems to want to help with the problem.

W3dal...none of the car hire companies are perfect. There's always going to be someone that is unlucky and have a bad expereince but it's not the case for everyone.

Have read a lot of negative posts about Budget since we booked but am keeping an open mind. Have had good and bad experiences with other companies in the past.

We also used Budget through Florida4Less last year. We had no problems with them. Friendly staff, no hard selling or trying to get us to upgrade. We had no credit card issues when we got home.

Florida Girl...yeah, I have read some bad ones too. We still have quite a few days yet and I keep checking Alamo brits, Skyscanner etc. (almost everyday actually lol) in case Alamo or Dollar drops their prices because we are members with those companies and go right to the garage instead of waiting in a line! If we have to stick wth Budget I atleast hope it will be a *painless* experience
