Alamo Savetime and 7 seated minivans.
Just discovered Alamo Brits (thanks DIBB) and it is by far our cheapest option. We were going to use COTD but Alamo Brits and Alamo Savetime seems to be the way to go and saves us a lot.
Two questions - if we get a 7 seater minivan, will the seats always fold down in the back? We don't need 7 seats but we do need space for 4 large cases and hand luggage and a pushchair! Also, is Alamo Savetime free and does it totally eradicate the queuing at the counter? |

Hi - you will have plenty of room in the 7 seater - we managed and there were actually 7 of us all with suitcases! The back row does fold in the Crystler T and C which we had I think!
As for the Save time - boy was I glad we had done it when we got there - the queue was HUGE for the desk! There were a couple of people infront of us at the kiosk but only waited about 10mins - If we hadn't of done save time the queue would have been at least an hour long - prob much more! We booked a 7 seater minivan through AlamoBrit this year & did Savetime too!
There was a choice of Chrysler Town & Country & loads of Dodge Grand Caravan. I'd read on here that the Town & Country was the best choice & we were lucky enough to get one (there was only a few of these compared to the loads of Grand Caravans!). It was great, loads of storage room, Dvd players built-in, Reversing camera, automatic doors etc... It certainly ad all the bells & whistles! As there was 8 of us (we had a lot of bags as DD was getting married & even more going home!) so we had a car a well but I think there would definitely be plenty of room for your luggage. Liked Alamo Savetime part from declining to Prepay for fuel & they added it on anyway, so please check your paperwork before you leave the garage.
