And what if you got held up in traffic and ran out out while on the highway?
That's a risk if you ask me.

just been looking at the route, noticed there are a few on route of the 417, if you come off the 417 and then back on do you end up paying more tolls? There are a couple of places to go just before you join the 417.

Actually, there is somewhere just before you get on the 417, hess on 7900 world centre drive, says its about 15 miles to the airport from there when I do directions. That should be okay shouldn't it?

I always prepay when doing savetime and in May it was only just above average price. All the cars I hire have a trip computer which indicates miles left so no need to run out.
I have more to do on my holiday than save a few dollars by hunting for a gas station on the last day.

The computer on the car said it still had more than 50 miles left in the tank

My view on this is like many other things when we go to WDW. I've paid thousand of pounds to go on holiday, so there's no way I'm going faff around on my last day to save £5 worth of petrol!

Ok so when a hire company offers you the gold package/fuel and in *some cases* is £100 more to add to the hire price. That's almost $170 to fill up the tank and everyone knows it doesn't cost that much to fill up a tank if you do it yourself. So no, it's way more than £5 and you have to remember some people are on a budget so that savings could go to something else like a special meal, activity etc. so while you might not give a toss about it...others might!

I can only speak about my own experiences and pre-paid fuel has never cost me much more than paying at the pump - That's the point I was making - IMO, it's just not worth the hassle.

There's no need for that kind of attitude

Its knowing the size of the tank and the cost to pre-pay. Prepay is a
lot less than what the hire company would charge you if had to bring it back full and didn't..
I've never known it to cost £100 to pre-pay fuel nowadays...Gold package is different as usually other extras are added apart from fuel.
