Driving directions to Universal

We are staying at Lake Davenport Estates just of US27 next year and were wondering what the best way to Universal is.

We have been to Florida 3 times before but have never visited Universal and are planning on going this time.

Would the 192 onto I4 and off at J75A be best or is there another way that is better.

Thanks.

We drove from other side of the 192/I4 from Reunion area. I would say that's the best route getting on the I4 from 192(530). Another route is taking the US27 down to connect up to the I4 but it's longer in miles and time unless there is a problem I suspect your first thoughts are the best.

It did seem quite a trek compared to Disney from where we were located but was first time for us in Florida and I didn't mind the driving, worth thinking about setting off times if you want to get there early it can get busy in the mornings.

I'm not an expert but universal boulevard runs parallel with international drove and is much quieter and quicker and it takes you, yes you've guessed it, straight to universal.

So if you are that way worth thinking of. Not sure where the 27 is.

Straight down HW27 then onto I4 simple.

We tended to go this route to Universal as we had breakfast on the 192 then up the I4. Coming back from Universal there isn't much in it as the 192 is a bit busier later in the day, which cancels the slightly longer distance of I4, off at 58 (Champions Gate) then up US27. But if you come back this way you can get something nice for tea from Publix at Champions Gate

At peak traffic times, I would avoid the 192 as it is painfully slow. I would go South on 27, left onto Ronald Reagan Parkway, left onto Championsgate Boulevard (past Publix) and left onto I4 North. This is often much quicker. I would return the same route (as recommended by Snapdragon).

If you are where i think you are (ie off Florence Villa Grove Road) quickest route is turn left on to Florence Villa Grove Road, go past Bahama Bay Resort and turn left on to Westside Boulevard which cuts out a large chunk of 192. About a mile along the road from the junction with Westside turn right on to 429 south. There is a toll (75 cents from memory) and the toll is unmanned so you need change or a toll pass but the road is wonderfully quiet and its a much easier junction to get on to I4 than the junction with US27.

I would avoid the 192 during peak times it is way too busy and too many traffic lights.
