July 19 Disney Itinerary
It is almost our ADR day so this afternoon DH and I have been spending some time firming up the itinerary for the Disney part of our 21 night trip. We are staying at POFQ for the first 12 nights of a 21 night trip and this is our first family trip to Orlando. DH and I have been once before and DS who will be almost 12 when we go has never been but has had a few trips to DLP.
Monday 1st July - Travel (due to land at Orlando at 2.35pm) , ME to POFQ, QS dinner at POFQ or DS Tuesday - 2nd July - Epcot Rope Drop (keep going as long as we can) Wednesday 3rd July - HS Rope drop (keep going as long as we can) Thursday 4th July - Blizzard Beach AM Either MK (embrace the madness?) or Ohana to watch Fireworks Friday 5th July - Magic Kingdom Rope Drop (hopefully EMH) (keep going as long as we can) Saturday 6th July - Animal Kingdom Rope Drop (hopefully EMH) (keep going as long as we can) Sunday 7th July - Pool time/lazy morning, MK late afternoon to watch HEA Monday 8th July - Typhoon Lagoon AM, HS late afternoon/evening to watch Fantasmic Tuesday 9th July - Lazy Morning, Epcot afternoon/evening to watch Illuminations Wednesday 10th July - Lazy Morning - Animal Kingdom to close, watch ROL Thursday 11th July - Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon then Hollywood Studios, watch Star Wars fireworks (if they are still on?) Friday 12th July (last full day) - Magic Kingdom (possibly rope drop to close) Watch HEA. Saturday - Depends on what fast passes we are able to get for other days. Pick up hire car from DCCC after 12pm. We then move on to 6 nights on international drive were we will fit in Kennedy, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, Seaworld. We might also visit IOA/US/City Walk. This will mainly depend if we decide to visit family in Sarasota for 1 night before we go to busch gardens or not. After that we have 3 nights at RP so will mainly do US/IOA/VB then. Travel home on Monday 22nd July with our flight due to depart at 5.15pm. Any thoughts, words of wisdom, recommendations are welcome. |

Had a quick read though. The first 12 nights look good. Similar to what we did with the first week being early starts and stay in parks as long as possible using the jet lag to be up and out and the second week having a lazy start and heading to a park for the afternoon and evening.
Sounds good to me. |
