Another vote for the Marriott Marquis. We couldn't make our minds up but ended up choosing this hotel for our trip in October half term

We are literally just back (yesterday) from 5 nights at the Intercontinental Barclay which was lovely and the best hotel we've stayed at there so far (the others being the Distrikt and the Belvedere).
Rooms are small (fairly common in NYC) but big enough (we didn't spend a lot of time in there really). The whole hotel was refurbished recently so everything is really nice. Our friends stayed at the same time at the Roosevelt and definitely do NOT recommend that!
