Anna Maria August weather

Hey,

Heading out to Anna Maria this August for three week. Anyone any ideas on weather patterns?

it will be hot and humid with afternoon storms. This is the normal weather pattern for the summer.
The breeze from the shore helps cool things a bit.

Expected weather is rain every day Jun-Sept; that is the norm for Florida.

It will be hot & humid although shouldn’t be as humid as central locations such as Orlando due to coastal location.

The rain tends to be a short 15-20 minute torrential downpour between 3-6pm & is very localised; we’ve seen a downpour cause momentary flooding on 1 side of a street with the other side of the street being bone dry!

Within 15 minutes you’ll see no sign that it ever rained.

Aug & Sept are the peak of the hurricane season which runs Jun-Nov; you may be impacted, chances are you won’t; we’ve visited every Sept for 20 years & been affected just once.
Hurricanes are well monitored that time of year; any activity will be tracked & reported on in TV broadcasts in plenty of time.

We have only ever visited in August. It’s generally beautiful weather, the usual hot and humid Florida weather. There can be showers and thunder storms but are usually over quite quickly and clear the air.
