Disney World 'free breakfast' - help!

(Sorry if this has been asked before; I did have a quick look but couldn't see a similar thread)

I booked through Disney, staying on site, and one of the promotion things was 'free breakfast'. My query is: is that at the hotel? Can it be claimed in the parks? Is it like the DDP on Magicbands etc?

And also, is it only for certain foods - is there a budget to it?

Thanks in advance!

It’s a quick service credit that can can be used anywhere in WDW and not just at breakfast.

While it's called free breakfast for the promotion, it's actually a quick service credit. Which can be used like any QS credit. So for any QS eligible meal at any QS location across the entire property at any time of day. You could even trade it for three snacks if you'd prefer.

And yes, it will be on your magic band same as the other DDP plans.

Phew, thanks for your replies. I tried contacting Disney but their phone lines have been hectic lately.
That's really cool that it counts for other meals (not much of a breakfast person).
Never bothered with DDP before, it's like another language haha.

Have a read of Vickie's (loves2plan) QS dining report if you haven't already. Whatever she ordered, you'd be able to do as well. Only exception is swapping the drink for a snack at resort QS places as you won't have the mug, although I've never asked if you can swap the drink regardless of having a mug at resorts. But you can buy them ($17.99 each for length of stay, IIRC) which may end up beneficial if you were planning to eat at the resorts a few times or for drinks on pool days, etc. The mugs can't be used in the parks though.

Also all credits are loaded on to your band at the start of your stay to be used up until midnight on your checkout day, they're not date specific within your stay itself. So if you're offsite one day and don't need to eat on property, you can have two free meals on another day.

Edited at 05:40 PM.

We were going to get the resort mugs, and in the parks use them for water (that's still allowed, right?)
I haven't been to Disney World since 2014, a lot seems to have changed. I'll look for the qs dining plan!

You can take the mugs into the parks and fill them up at water fountains but you won’t find a restaurant willing to fill them even with water

The restaurants will give you free tap water in s paper cup. I would leave the refillable cups in the hotel as it’s one more thing to carry
