places to stay in new york.
hi all,
we have booked to go back to florida in november this year but we are stopping off in new york for 3 nights first. I have done a bit of research and its all a little overwheming so was wondering if any of you lovely dibbers had any advice as to where to stay in new york. We would like to be central as we are only there for 3 days and would like to pack as much in as possible but we don't have a top end budget. There are 4 of us 2ad and 2ch ( both 16). The prices i have found range from 550 - 700 which suppose is expected in a city such as new york. Any help appreciated thanks |

Hi
We stayed at the Hilton Times Square which was really central. There are loads of hotels around that area, but be warned - Times Square is mad busy - and for me, every time I left the hotel I felt like I was stepping into Bedlam! However my kids loved it! If I was going again I would probably pick a hotel closer to Central Park, so I could go back to a more peaceful setting after sightseeing! If budget is an issue it may be worth checking if you have any loyalty schemes that you could utilise toward your stay. We saved Hilton points so this made the hotel affordable for us. Also check out Travel Zoo USA as well as the UK site as they sometimes have good hotel deals listed. NY is made up of districts and so it may be an idea to check these out and decide if one suits you better than the others. Time Out New York is a useful site as it overviews the districts and lists hotels by each area. We loved NY - there is so much to see and do. I would defintely recommend getting a hop-on hop-off bus tour as we found it a great way to see the sights. Have a great time planning and hope you get your hotel sorted out soon.

Have a look at the Hotel Beacon. An amazing location and the rooms have kitchens which are great! It really isn’t far from the tourist bits.

I had one night here when I was over for work 2 years ago... great location, right at the Empire state building and walking distance to everywhere else...
Room was nice and clean... breakfast was a bit chaotic as busy and a small room...would have it elsewhere if staying here again hotelnyma/?gclid=Cj0...AaAr1PEALw_wcB |
