Hi! We live in the Scottish Borders and it works out cheaper for us to fly from Manchester! Normally by quite a significant amount! We take the train from Edinburgh to Manchester Airport and stay overnight, and it still works out cheaper! And technically you can start your holiday a day early as I always count pre travel day as the first day of my holiday! 😊

I looked at Manchester for my dates but it was more expensive bizarrely...
DH also didn't want me to have to drive back up on the day we arrived home. I don't live anywhere near a train station so getting the train to Manchester airport isn't a viable option for me unfortunately.
