There's a small museum/visitor centre in the Presidio too which was interesting, with nice views of the GG Bridge. We took a bus to the WDFM and then walked back to Fisherman's Wharf, a great day out.

Yes it's doable, we've done this twice. The yoda statue is about 10-15 minutes walk from the museum, you past the visitor centre in the way. We started at the Yoda statue first as the Museum doesn't open until 10am. Both times we have been we have had no problem visiting the lucasfilm lobby too for a short time. You just be to be respectful thats in a place of work. I would say allow around 4 hours for the museum if your big Walt fans, although to look at everything properly took take even longer.

Thanks, that’s the plan as we’ll be up early is to start at Lucas Film & then walk the the WDFM. Safe enough to walk then?

Yes definitely walkable. On our more recent trip we got an Uber to drop us at Palace of Fine Arts (Got then at 8.02am according to my receipt). Had a quick walk around here as I love this area, crossed the road and up through Lucas Film Grounds to the Yoda Statue and lobby and then walked around to the Visitor centre and Museum. Even had time to FaceTime home before the Museum opened.

Ooh this sounds like a fab plan, never thought about doing it all together but it makes sense as they’re all near by.
