Ah. Great.

It’s only our 2nd time when we go in Feb.

What have you got in mind so far?

Do you have Disney dining plan included?

How many of you are there, and what ages?

I've created "The Masterplan" spreadsheet which is the itinerary for every day.

We're on standard DDP. 5 adults (one of which is my 10 year old) and one child (my 5 year old).

We're thinking:

Boathouse (2 x credits)
Be Our Guest (2 credits)
Liberty Tree Tavern
Edison - Disney Springs
Rivers of Light Dining Package
Mama Melrose
Olivia's - Old Key West
Rainforest Cafe - Disney Springs
Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic! Dining Package
The Crystal Palace
Garden Grill Character Lunch (think this is 1 credit)
Rose and Crown IllumiNations Package
Tiffin Lion King Package (2 credits)

Issue is that this is 16 table service credits and we get 14 so I think I need to pare it back slightly.

Each meal relates to where we are that night. Thoughts?

Which hotel are you in?

Each to their own obviously, but you have a fair few reservations flagged for Disney springs. Do you want to be leaving the park early to head over there, rather than spending a bit longer in the parks?

Rainforest cafe is a prime contender for switching to the rainforest cafe restaurant at Aninal Kingdom rather than Springs.

Also, I’m pretty sure that you can’t use your credits for the rose and crown illuminations package.

It's hard to explain without showing you the spreadsheet but we're staying at Old Key West and wherever I have stated a Disney Springs restaurant it's because that fits in with our itinerary.

For instance, on day one when we arrive mid-afternoon we don't want to hit the park so we'll get the ferry to Disney Springs and eat there. We've got 2 days in Universal so will probably eat at Disney Springs when we return.

Good point on Rose and Crown IllumiNations. I thought it would be like the other dining packages but on closer inspection it isn't.

Also, good point on Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom!

Ah - fair.

If you're still over credits, you'll either have to pay out of pocket for whatever the cheapest one is, or if you want to experience Be Out Guest, but without the 2 credit hit - you could maybe do that as with one of your QS credits at Lunch.

Nice one. We can book our first 10 days from tomorrow - we changed a couple of bookings on our plan to be QS credits at lunch so I think we can “afford” Be Our Guest as a 2 credit meal but will review one more time.

Rainforest cafe also has poor reviews. I’d drop that. Maybe have a quick service at Disney springs. There are some good options like Polite pig. Wolfgang puck. Blaze pizza.

Thanks for the advice! Strangely, Edison only allows you to book up to 4 people online anyway? Ever seen this?

There is usually limited availability when booking with a show though, some might find the time slots a bit early for dinner. I guess that would need to be weighed up with the inclusion of appetiser.
