Excited about Disney

Thank you, so that means we'll be paying 36% for our party of 6 then if 18% is added to each bill?
That don't seem right! Last year we stayed in a suite at Art of Animation so we were all in one room and the 18% was just added automatically but we've booked 2 rooms at CSR for this trip but I assumed we would still only be paying 18% |

[QUOTE=Dr.JumbaJookiba;13656001]It's not right - the bill is split between you before your share of the tip is added. You each pay 18% of your share. The waiter still gets 18% of the whole table as per the rule.
Phew! Thanks for clarifying, can stop panicing now 🙂 |

You'll pay 18% of each individual bill. Which means you will pay 18% of the total cost. Not 36%.
So, for example, let's say the total cost for all 6 of you is $100. The group of 4 people gets a bill for $60 of that $100, whilst the other group of 2 people gets a separate bill for $40 of the $100. Each pays 18% of their own bill. 18% of $60 = $10.80 18% of $40 = $7.20 Total service charge = $10.80 + $7.20 = $18, which is also 18% of the total cost of $100. The above assumes you are sat at a single table of 6. If you are sat at completely different tables - one table for 4 people and one table for 2 people - then the 18% would be a suggested tip and not a service charge. Note that you can tip the waiter in addition to the service charge.
