Is something significant happening in WDW 1st week of March?

well , I have just started planning and all the touring plans seem to be completely oposing. We have got free entrance and all I know is that Animal Kingdom is blocked to us after 8/3/19 so need to visit before then. All the other parks are fine tho for the rest of March. Think I will scrap the planning and just toss a coin!

It can be a lot simpler than you think . If a park is busy , leave and go to another one. You will NEVER get it right no matter what you look at . If it’s torrebtial rain all day I can guarantee the park won’t be busy , but they don’t factor in weather or the fact we are human Beings and change our minds .

We’ve planned for September twice with the promise of 1 and 2 level crowds. Both times hurricanes and other events have meant guests flooding in at the time we were there and so it being 6-7 level. Just have to go with it.
If you have a good touring plan you will be fine no matter what. Just be prepared :-)

Interestingly, I've just had another email from Touring Plans taking most of the crowd predictions back down to what they originally predicted. Nerves have been slightly calmed by this but I guess it just goes to show that it really could be anyone's guess how busy a park is on any given day.

I suspect they've now readjusted their algorithm, or corrected the data feeding the algorithm, and now the crowd level numbers being reported align with their predictions.

So, it's not that they now think the park is going to be less crowded. Nor did it mean that they thought the park was going to be super busy in March a few weeks ago. It's just that they got the numbers wrong.

Agreed. I don't think any of the baseline data changed, they just fixed their calculations.

Although I do like that my AK day isn't a scary red 10 any more.

we went this time last year, and apparently it was busier than Christmas week. it was hell! we are going this year at the begining of march but are avoidng the disney parks apart from a after hours event.
