L&L Cruise life - Britannia April 2018 - Day 4 - La Coruna

Day 4

We were at La Coruna today .

I didn’t sleep very well and was awake between 3.30 and 5.30, the boat was pretty rough. I eventually got back to sleep and we then got up at 7.30 and went to the Peninsular Restaurant for breakfast, rather than the buffet. The special of the day was eggs benedict which we both ordered and we also ordered some pancakes on the side. We had coffee and orange juice to go with it.

We went back to our room to get our stuff and went off the ship to look around La Coruna. It was much warmer today now we were in Spain, still not t-shirt weather but it was a lovely day.

We face timed our mum and we stumbled across the Plaza de Maria Pita.

We then continued walking and found this gorgeous bay.

We stopped in a café for a drink, which was €3 for two cokes before heading back to the ship. There were shops where you got back onto the ship and we stopped in it and got some presents, including some little bottles of liquor for Chris and our parents and some chocolates.

We relaxed and I went to the gym for a short workout and then we went to the buffet restaurant for lunch. I loved all the choice today and the apple and rhubarb crumble was so good I had two .

We went and relaxed in the hot tub for a little before going back to the room to get ready for the evening.

We had a g&t in our room and then went and saw the 7pm show which was called once upon a time. This was disney theme but to popular pop songs, it was really good.

We went for dinner, it was quite busy as we went straight from the theatre so we said we were happy with a shared table again. We were on a table with two older couples. We enjoyed talking to them though.

I had the beetroot salad to start and the beef and onion soup. Louise had a salad which included mozzarella, olives and pesto and smoked sausage soup.

For main I had the chicken gnocchi and Louise had the cod, potatoes and peas. Louise's photo was sneakily taken from across the table .

We both had the sticky toffee sundae for dessert. We ordered the white rioja as we had finished our bottles of wine the night before.

We were going to go for a drink at the Crow's Nest but it was so busy so we decided to go straight back to the room as we had a busy day the next day as we had booked a kayaking trip.

We loved getting our horizon letter each evening You can tell Louise is a teacher, she brought a highlighter with her so we could highlight what we wanted to do each day .

I was very impressed with La Coruña, I imagine that bay and the beach is even more gorgeous in the summer! Haha we got lost so many times wandering around the ship, it was incredible!
