Primark - return without receipt

I bought a jumper for DD in early october for christmas but its not what she wants, but i am out of the 28 days, they still have the jumper in stock, so was wondering if they accept items for exchange without a receipt?

They used to until recently but Primarks policy seems to have changed. I tried to exchange something recently and they wouldn’t because I had no receipt and that was within the 28 days.

Not in my experience at our local store and can’t blame them as otherwise people could literally just pick something off the shelf and then try and claim a refund

Just asked my son who is a supervisor and he said no. Because of the amount of shoplifters they will not do anything without a receipt

Our local Primark has signs up stating no returns without a receipt.

Every store in the country faces that risk but many will give a credit note without a receipt

They changed their policy on this back in June or July.

I wonder if I showed the receipt, would they likely be strict about the 28 days, at least they knew I hadn’t nicked it first!

They can do a search on their system for a receipt as they did that for my DH. He just needed to tell them when and where he bought them and his card details.However, his was in the 28 days.

Since you’ve got the receipt and the item is still current stock you might be in luck. Doubt they’ll give you a refund but imagine they’ll do an exchange . Nothing ventured...
