Renting DVC points - some advice please

Hello there,

We would love to spend a night at Animal Kingdom lodge next year (the first night of our trip) but I have no idea how dvc points work. So a few questions please...
How does the booking work, will it be in my name?
Can I use the magical express from the airport?
How many points would I need for a one night stay in October- there will be 3 of us?

Thanks as always for your help 😀

DVC is really easy
Yes the booking is in your name
Yes you can use ME
Points will depend on the night

If you look at the DVC forum there is someone selling AKL points currently
You will love AKL amazing!

We've booked 2 night at Akl from a lovely dibber, the reservation is linked to our MDE under our names and had the same privileges as staying on site booking direct.

As for costs it will depend what the person selling at are charging but you can see the points chart on the DVC website. Bare in mind the value studios go quickly at the 11 month window.

Thank you for the info... I looked at the dvc website it says 9 points for value. I did see someone was selling points but they run to September this year and I would need October. Might put a post on the request forum now that you’ve reassured me and see if anything available, I would be needing a studio for Wednesday 9th October... hope I can get something.
Thanks again

Renting points is very easy and you should have no trouble getting a reservation.

I would recommend 2 nights though as you really don’t get to spend any time at the resort and use the facilities on a one night stay, especially if it’s your arrival night.

Thank you, 2 nights would be lovely but as this is our non-disney trip I might be pushing my luck haha!

I’ve just had a look for studio value rooms in October they are fully booked out unfortunately these rooms get booked up super quick with them requiring fewer points to stay, there is good availability for a studio standard room in October which ranges from 12-14 points for a one night stay.

As above You will really struggle to get the value studio , you should be able to put in a request now if someone holds akl points they can book for you . Akl is lovely , enjoy .
