When we went I made sure our hotel had a kitchen, we stayed at the Signature. We also had a car and went to Walmart for cereal for breakfast, we also had toast. A few evenings we stayed in and cooked food as well then went out afterwards. Pretty much like being on a Florida holiday really.

Yes, that's what we though although we only have coffee facilities and a fridge in the room. But I think its a trade off - the hotel is beautiful and we got a suite for £70 a night.

We stayed at the Trump hotel when we were over there in 2017, the hotel is awesome. We didnt want a big casino type hotel and we definitely made the right choice. The hotel was great and the pool was a great place to relax after the hustle of the strip.

We had a suite and it had a enough facilities for us to have cereals and toast for breakfast which we picked up on the drive in from Butler.

We avoided all the big restaurants as we prefer to find smaller more personable places to eat. One night we just had Panda express, if you like Mexican then Nacho Daddies is a must, if you want to drive there are loads of places a very short drive off the strip. We did go the cheesecake factory one night was good food.

two tips for the Trump hotel 1- try the $20 trick, I did and the receptionist offered to upgrade us to king suite with living area etc but it meant only 1 king bed and a sofa bed so I declined as we didnt want 2 of us on a sofa bed. 2 - ask for a room facing the strip as there is a train that comes through at the rear of the hotel early every morning which has to sound its horn which is not great if your a light sleeper.

Have a great time.

Depends on your idea of a budget

There are cheaper places like In N Out burger , Denny’s , Pinks hot dogs , food courts , eating off strip ( if you have a car ) is much cheaper though

Panda Express...there are 2 on the strip. Gordon Ramsays Fish n Chips and Ocean One Bar and grill in the Miricle Mile shops. You get a lovely lunch for $4.99 and great choice...with waiter service etc. The usual McD's of course.

If you sign up for Hash House on the website you get a BOGF coupon. Its in the Linq Hotel.

My daughter and myself have done it and had great upgrades... not at Trump. You have a better chance if it’s not a weekend or no conference. Really depends on how busy the hotel is. Good luck.

We're there on a Tuesday for four nights so may have a go. Do they take the $20 even if they don't upgrade you?

Entirely possible, we were on a strict budget when we first went. It was torture not being able to eat in the nice restaurants, but all you can eat buffets were a god send! The Excalibur and Luxor are excellent value. Like OP mentions the usual burger and fast food places are also in abundance, depends what you want really.

Looking forward to going back this year to see Matt Goss and doing it without the restrictions.
