Mobile Split stay disney hotels

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before but if I wanted to book a Disney split stay would I have to book it direct with Disney? We are looking at a week in a moderate and a week in a deluxe. What's the easiest way to book it?

Thanks

Most good TA's would be able to book this for you, generally not something that you can do online so would probably have to call. Forget it though if you were thinking about something like Free Dining, as each portion of your split stay needs to tickets to qualify, so you can't for instance just buy one set of tickets for both. Not sure how it works for deposits either because you effectively have 2 separate bookings which could mean 2 deposits.
TBH I'm not sure I'd do a Mod & Deluxe combo, not really much of a difference in terms of rooms- you're basically looking at the difference from around £250/night to +£400/night. The main difference is the pools, a couple have spas, but the likes of POFQ/POR get's rave reviews

I did a mod and deluxe combo last year, it was very easy to book on line direct with Disney. I just did 2 separate bookings. The mod I stayed in (Port Orleans French Quarter) was far better than the deluxe (Beach Club).

We did it in 2014, 10 nights at Old Key West then 4 at The Yacht Club.
We booked them months apart so had free dining whilst at OKW & no dining plan at the YC.
I remember a mad scramble on the morning we checked out of OKW to use up our remaining credits, we didn't know at that time that they were valid for the whole of your last day.
Would we do it again?
Probably, the move from OKW to YC was easy, we left our cases with bell services at OKW & asked them to transfer them to the YC which they did.

We've done WL - SSR twice, AKL-SSR once & 3 times offsite & back:- 1 BV Palace for 3 nights & 2 x RPR for 3/4 nights, we always end up back at our DVC at SSR & DME back to airport. Onsite- Onsite is fairly easy but I'll be honest & say it all just feels a hassle now We do have a 10/11 split in May SF at Universal - SSR.
What I would also say is that even on a shorter 7 day stay, you actually see very little of the Hotel, especially if it's at the beginning of your holiday when you have those early starts. Without Free Dining I don't think the deluxes are worth £400 (plus) a night. With the loss of our FD, AKL just wasn't worth that sort of money, 10 nights at POFQ was coming in at £2500 (next May) & we got Sapphire Falls for £1400 with an upgraded room!
