Hi

Before I book anything up using TR I've read their cancellations terms.

So I pay £15 deposit to secure hotel only. If the prices drops and I want to cancel then rebook my understanding is I have to pay £40 cancellation fee.

Does this mean I have to pay another £25 since I've already paid £15 deposit or do I need to pay another £40?

Also it states if you rebook within 30 days you will get £25 rebooking back. In this is the case do I have to pay another £15 deposit on the new booking and then get the £25 back or is the £25 taken off the price of the new booking?

Confusing. Crux of it is by how much cheaper would the new booking have to be to make it worth while?

This is a challenge for all you mathematicians :-)

Thanks

I booked with them for Last month and obviously had to cancel. £40 is total cancellation fee, so £15 deposit .+ £25 if you cancel. Be warned they do keep your credit card details to automatically take the remaining balance should you not cancel.

As Meb stated, and I've had it confirmed by TR, that if I made a booking with a £15 deposit and I cancel then I will have to pay another £25 cancellation charge. I won't have to pay anything to the hotel. I think this is what they mean by free cancellation.

However if you rebook in 30 days they will refund you £15 (£40 less the extra £25 paid for cancelling).

I will check with them what their wording of free cancellation actually means.
