My nephew is waiting for his on Thursday, he's already been accepted at St Marys in Twickenham, but is still nervous. Good luck everyone who is waiting for results!

Countdown to Thursday is definitely on now. Just an email at 8am for my DS they are not allowed to collect results from school. The waiting is terrible. Really hoping they all get the results they deserve.

Nope, no stress here. My sons grammar school has consistantly had excellent exam results.

Just waiting for the whole thing to be over to be honest .
DD was taking a year out as didn't feel ready for university, but obviously she may not be able to go at all. She is 18 on Friday, so hoping she can put it behind her & enjoy her day. No party or anything, but will try & make it special for her.

Then my next DD gets her GCSE's next week!

Good luck everyone! This will be me next year with DD, although this years cohort have got even more reason to be anxious. Fingers and toes crossed you all get the results you want

So based on the news from Scotland that they are just going to give out the predicted grades now (unless you got upgraded then you get to keep it)

Therefore I have to change my definition it is no longer really a lottery.

Well it is just a really good one, you choose your numbers and whatever is written on your ticket is what you get in the reveal

Williamson just announced (10:45) that A levels will now have a triple lock. The student will get the highest of:

1) the algorithm grade
2) their mock result
3) the result they get in an exam in the autumn

The full story on the BBC now, massive U-turn and going to send Thursday into turmoil

What a shambles. Totally chaotic last minute **ap!

Everyone knows mocks are exactly that and its usually when they realise that they may need to work a bit harder. But theres not so much pressure with mocks as everyone knows they don't matter as much because they don't count towards any official results right? ...

Thanks for the heads up. Off to read the article
